This is another view of the Crazy Quilt Box. The medium is French Cartonnage, an art process of box making done in France. Materials used, marbled paper, book board, paper, glue. The surface is collaged with marbled papers.
I took a workshop (Morgan Paper Conservatory, Cleveland OH) from box maker Betsy Begue who learned this process while living in France. This particular form was created by Betsy Begue. Since the initial workshop I have work with her instruction on how to create other box forms.
